INTRODUCTION

As an extended arm of Porex, Technology International is offering “Vents” as a readymade solution, under the brand name of PorVent. The objective is to provide plug-and-play solutions desired by end consumers for venting applications.

PorVent products are manufactured at our Vadodara facility, with sophisticated state-of-art machines; under the technical guidance from Porex.

These vents utilize industry leading Porex PTFE Membranes manufactured in Scotland.

Being associated with POREX for the past 3 decades, Technology International has an in-depth knowledge of the specialized materials manufactured by POREX. We bring this deep knowledge to our customers offering various customized solutions.

100% airflow testing as well as a batch wise seal testing (destructive test) ensures that all quality requirements of our customers are met in each and every supply. In addition, liquid-membrane compatibility testing, drop testing, 100% visual testing and other customized testing solutions are done as per customer requirements in order to ensure that the product is fail safe.

Why Vent?

Enclosures and containers are vulnerable to failure due to leakage, structural failure, condensation, contamination and failed seals. The failures can also be attributed to change in internal pressure caused due to the change in temperature or altitude or contents outgassing or scavenging oxygen. Failure of the enclosure or container can damage the product’s performance and integrity or lead to product failure resulting in indirect loss to the company and it’s reputation.

OUR CHOICE OF

MATERIALS

Technology International uses POREX PTFE for its products instead of PP or PE. It is a weldable, breathable, leak-resistant
material solution for industrial and consumer vented liners and cap closures. It is designed for use with solvent or water-based
solutions, granular or powder chemicals, food and beverage, or for use with low surface tension fluids such as oils, detergents,
surfactants, and more. This can also be made available with an Oleophobic treatment for specialized applications.

Industries / application wherein Venting is required can be broadly classified as :

Chemical containers can bloat / collapse / explode due to unequalized pressure during processing, storage or transportation.
The internal pressure changes can also occur due to change in altitude or temperature. The consequence of container damage
is an added cost to the company for salvaging the loss to material and reputation. At the same the chemicals may inflict damage
on the users as well as the environment.

Vents in the container allow it to “breathe“ thereby equalizing the internal pressure within the container preventing distortion
and damage of the container. The vents allow the air and gas molecules to pass through the membrane but prevent the liquids
from passing through.

PorVent Vents can be used for venting in containers for Industrial Chemicals, Pesticides, Fertilizers and Consumer products.

the exposed enclosures from contaminants such as dirt, dust, salts, water ingress as well heat dissipation assumes a significant

In Electronics, the vents are primarily used in Sensors , Gas Detectors , Lighting Equipment , Solar Systems ,
Telecommunications Systems Submarine Equipments, Testing Instruments , Security / Surveillance equipment ,
Hearing aids etc. The vents rapidly equalize pressure to increase the service life and manage condensation
thereby reducing the design complexities and related costs.

In Automotive industry, the vents are play a key role in the stability and reliability of the key automotive
